Linked Accounts

Linked accounts prove you control your social profiles. When someone queries UnaFonte asking "Is @daneawaz on X really them?" we can answer "yes" because you proved you own that handle by adding your UnaFonte URL to its bio.

Why Bio Link Verification?

UnaFonte uses bio link verification instead of OAuth for three reasons:

  • Works on any platform — If the platform has a bio field, we can verify it
  • No API costs or token refreshes — Nothing to break if platforms change their APIs
  • You stay in control — Remove the link from your bio any time to unverify

Supported Platforms

UnaFonte supports bio link verification for:

  • X (Twitter)
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok
  • Instagram
  • GitHub
  • Facebook
  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • WhatsApp Business
  • Other (manual URL)

How to Link an Account

  1. Go to Dashboard → Social Accounts
  2. Click Add Account and choose the platform
  3. Enter your handle (e.g., @daneawaz)
  4. Copy the verification URL UnaFonte generates (looks like unafonte.com/daneawaz)
  5. Paste that URL into your bio on the target platform
  6. Click Verify on the UnaFonte dashboard

You can remove the link later

Some creators worry about cluttering their bio. Once verification succeeds, you can remove the link from your bio — verification remains until the next scheduled re-check (typically monthly). Just remember to re-add it if we ask you to re-verify.

Verification States

  • Pending — You've added the account but haven't verified the bio link yet
  • Verified — We found your UnaFonte URL in the bio and confirmed ownership
  • Failed — We couldn't find the link. Double check the URL format and try again
  • Broken — The link was there but disappeared during a re-check

What Gets Displayed Publicly

Once verified, your linked account shows on your public profile with a green checkmark and a link to the original profile. The API also returns all verified accounts so AI assistants can cross-reference identities.

Private or gated accounts

If your social profile is private or requires a login to view, we can't verify the bio link. Make the profile public temporarily during verification, then lock it down again afterward.
