Active Ledger

The Active Ledger is where you post time-bounded claims about what you're doing right now. It's the answer to "Is this giveaway real?" or "Is this partnership legit?" — and it auto-expires so stale claims don't linger.

Entry Types

  • Giveaway — Prize, channels, entry instructions, expiry date
  • Partnership — Brand, campaign dates, what's included
  • Promo — Discount code, percentage off, valid from/until
  • Appearance — Podcast, conference, interview, with date and link
  • Announcement — One-off news like a product launch or new video

Creating an Entry

  1. Go to Dashboard → Active Entries
  2. Click New Entry
  3. Pick the type (giveaway, partnership, etc.)
  4. Fill in the details — title, channels, expiry
  5. Click Publish and the entry goes live immediately on your public profile

Be specific about channels

For giveaways, always list the exact platforms where fans should expect to see it (e.g., "X and YouTube only — NOT Telegram"). This gives UnaFonte the context to answer "Is there a Telegram giveaway?" with a confident "No."

Entry Lifecycle

  • Pending — Draft state, not visible publicly
  • Active — Live on your public profile and returned by the API
  • Expired — Past the expiry date; still visible in your dashboard but hidden from public view
  • Cancelled — Manually ended before expiry

Editing and Cancelling

You can edit most fields of an active entry at any time — the title, description, channels, and expiry date are all editable. You cannot change the entry type after creation (delete and re-create instead).

To cancel an entry early, click Cancel in the dashboard. Cancelled entries are hidden from your public profile immediately but remain in your history for audit purposes.

Expiry Logic

Entries auto-expire when their expiry date passes. Currently expiry happens on page load rather than via a background cron job — this keeps things simple until UnaFonte has enough creators to justify dedicated expiry workers.

Why auto-expiry matters

Stale claims are worse than no claims. A giveaway from 6 months ago still showing as "active" would tell scammers they can safely impersonate that giveaway. Hard expiry is a core feature, not an afterthought.

AI-Proposed Entries

If you've set up MCP with Claude Desktop or another AI assistant, your AI can propose ledger entries on your behalf. Just say "I just launched a giveaway on X, ends Friday" and the AI will create a pending entry for you to approve with one click. See the API Keys & MCP section for setup instructions.
